This might be one of the best things you’ve written.

You write with a kind of symbology that’s hauntingly evident yet obscured. Everything seems to mean something else. I almost get the sense that Lima and all she’s seen and sees is not what actually exists outward? But all an internal perception. Everything seems to be so much more in this world Lima lives in.

I cannot wait to see what else you’ve been hiding from us!

What a gorgeous short story. Theres something so incredibly raw and resonating with Lima. This relentless nature of dreaming. The only thing their is to do is to dream continuously. Even with someone like her mother growing tired and restless along with Robert distracted and confused by her nature. This has a strange callback to your writing from yesterday about the refusal of regulated folk. The girl may be strange but she's an artist immortalized in other perspectives along the clothesline.

Something about texture really feels alive in this piece as well. Velvet parallel to skin, color swirling of lavender's, greens, yellows, even whites and blues all exist within this sameness. Gravel and trees everything feels married in their simplicities a feat that not the mother nor the friend can achieve. But most of all. I love how Lima becomes this tree in the American Gothic she so desired. Without trying to she simply just did it. I can see this image of a girl parallel an centered starring at a clothesline as the light casts its frame and mirrors its colors that she's in awe of. Brilliant.
